What is a father?
Can someone tell me?
Is it someone who provides and protects
Or someone who sits on the sidelines and watches all the unrest
Is it someone who takes care of their children
Or simply leaves them for dead
Who leaves scars across their head and mind
Is it a bully?
Because I’ll tell you how most people’s fathers are
Their cowards
Present but not really their
Figures of smoke
Dust gathering the ceiling
And clinging on the walls
A phantom
A ghost who you will away
A monster
A nothing
