Porcelain dolls with their cream white skin

Sit with light eyes in the toy store windows

I pick

Pick

Pick

At the brown of my own

I type in ‘beautiful girls’ around the world

And see images that I cannot relate to

A quiet segregation

My existence a natural separation from

What society tells me I should look like and be

But I do NOT let it define me

Because there is

Beauty

In diversity
